Gabriella Maria Martini

Gabriella goes to join her beloved husband of 65 wonderful years, Carlo. Loving mother to Vante (Helen), Carla (Douglas McGillivray), and Giovanni (Chantal). Cherished Nonna to Colin, Joel, Aaron, Vanessa (Casey Stroyan), Michael (Liesa), Ryan (Courtney), Sean (Andrea), Giancarlo, and Patrick. Treasured Bisnonna to Hunter, Harper, Tucker, Noah, Sophia and Lochlan. Predeceased by her parents Eligio and Eugenia; her siblings Vittorio (Dora), Rosimbo, Enrico, and Emilia (Alfio), brother-in-law Mario, and sisters-in-law Virginia (Sante) and Sandrina. Survived by her sisters-in-law Adele, Ruth, and Beverly and her brother-in-law Cheno. She will be sorely missed by all her friends and extended family.

Gabriella immigrated to Canada from Italy in the early 50’s where she met the love of her life, Carlo. Together they raised three children. There was nothing more important to her than the love and pride she had in her growing family. She was a devoted mother and an extraordinary woman, who leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, strength and resilience. We were truly lucky to have her all these years — and her memory will continue to inspire and endure in the hearts she touched.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, where the family invites friends and relatives to join them for a visitation on Tuesday, August 26 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, August 27 at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, 28 Norfolk St. Guelph, followed by a reception in the church hall.
