

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Sharon (nee Carere) , his many nieces and nephews and cousins with whom he had a close and loving relationship.
He will also be greatly missed by his in-laws in the Carere family: Colleen Carere, Chester Carere Jr. (Inam) Janice Carere (Stephen) and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Thomas and mother Eileen and his brothers Matt(Mable) Ken (Audrey) sisters Ange Moyer (Eddy) Marge Hanlon(Hank) Betty Mowbray (Mel).
Jerry was well known for his success in business, for his love of farming and the land, for his dedication to his family and friends, for being a very good neighbour in the farming community and for his pleasant, soft spoken manner with everyone.
Jerry will be deeply, deeply missed and will remain forever in the hearts and minds of his family and friends and so many of those who knew him.
Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street., Guelph, where the family will receive their friends on Thursday , March 20th 2025 from 4-8 pm. Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of Our Lady on Friday , March 21st, 2025 at 11:00 am. Entombment in Our Lady Immaculate mausoleum. Marymount Cemetery, Guelph.
In lieu of flowers, donations directed to the Guelph Humane Society in Jerry’s honour would be appreciated by the family.
