Lina Ricci

Born in Bucchianico, Chieti, Italy to Tommaso Di Muzio (1990) and Anna Di Luca (1964). Lina married the love of her life Luigi (2017) and spent 58 years together, she now rejoins him in God’s care.

Loving mother of Claudio (Adriana), Sandra (Brent Hackett), Frank (Phyllis) and John. Devoted Nonna of Alexander (Monika), Laura (Rory O’Callahan), Alycia (Geoff Cazzola), Jason (Tessa), Thomas (Maya), Karlina (Farshad), Talia (Gage), Gabriel, Matteo and Alexandra. Bisnonna of Austin, Domenic and Chloe Cazzola and Eddie Knight. Sister of Elda, Guisipina, Vittorio, Rocco (all passed) and survived by Lucia, Umberto and Adelchi. Beloved sister-in-law and aunt to many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Cherished “NONNA” who will be missed by Giselle, Anthony, Gianni (Megs), Memo (Nikki), Mateo (Erica), Adrian, Luca, Matea, Tiago, Mila, Izabella, Raffi and Frankie.

Lina was a devoted mother who always put her family first and was extremely kind to friends, family and neighbours. She found great joy in cooking, gardening and attending Mass at St. Joseph’s Church. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all the lives she touched.

A visitation will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home – Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St. Guelph) on Thursday, January 11, 2024 from 4 – 8 pm with a Funeral Mass on Friday, January 12, 2024 at 10 am at St. Joseph’s Church (409 Paisley Rd. Guelph). Private entombment to follow at a later date.

Donations directed to the Guelph General Hospital or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
