Myrtle was the cherished mother to Hilary (David), and adoring grandmother to Abigail, and a devoted aunt to David, Carol, Martin and Hilary. She was predeceased by her husband Robert, her daughter Sharon, and her siblings Pauline and Yvonne.
Originally from England, Myrtle emigrated to Canada in the 1950s alongside her dear friend Eilish. They won money betting on football, which paid for their tickets to start a new chapter in Canada, a testament to Myrtle’s adventurous spirit.
In her later years, Myrtle found joy in simple pleasures like the casino and bingo. In her youth, she loved shopping, line dancing, and lawn bowling. Myrtle was known for her quiet, steadfast nature, and her exacting, particular ways. Her family and friends will always remember her with deep affection. She will be missed dearly, but never forgotten.
Cremation has taken place. Donations to Hospice Wellington in memory of Myrtle would be appreciated by the family. For condolences and donations, visit www.gilbertmacintyreandson.com
