She is predeceased by her parents Florence & Harold, siblings Myron, Donna, Keith & survived by sister-in-law Pat Murphy Migliarini and by her youngest sister Lorraine & Bill Anderson. A proud Aunt to her nieces and nephews and their families, Michael, David, Karen, Catherine, & Marie Migliarini; Adam, Simon & Ethan Forster; Shari, Brian & (Billy deceased) Anderson.
Patricia was a bright light, deeply faith based, loving, caring , generous, humours lady with a spark to her to do it her way, that we admired to face her many life challenges. She wasn’t blessed with birth children but mothered many starting with her baby sister Lorraine (she nicknamed Rainy) as was she was seven years old when Rainy was born and quoted “she had a real-life doll” and mothered her young sisters-in-law, Laurie and Jackie (deceased) nee Perrin for part of their childhood and kept them and their families close to her all their lives, including older siblings, Sharon Scott, Brian (deceased) Perrin. Pat was a caregiver at heart in so many ways to mention to make someone else’s life better or easier. Her work life was mostly as a medical secretary so again gave her time and love to the sick. She was known as the “Card Giver” for any occasion, remembering all the dates and we often received them early to family and anyone who needed one. Family and friends were her life. Her youngest sister Rainy always called her Sister Mother and she continued to be through Rainy’s life. As her health worsened and it was time for role reversal, Lorraine with help from husband Bill, she was able to be the Mother Sister only when Pat let her. During the last few years with Pat’s failing heath, especially her declining vision, they spent a lot of time together so time for lots of hugs and talks.
Beside Pat’s families, she had many best female friends and their partners who all supported her with love, care and their time during these the troubled times when she needed it and they were a blessing to her. Patricia will leave a big hole in so many lives.
The last few years, she has resided at Stone Lodge Retirement Home in Guelph where again helped she many of the residents until she couldn’t. We want to thank the resident friends she made there and all of the wonderful staff that helped take care of her with love to stay there as long as she could. We also want to thank St. Joseph’s Health Centre, Guelph, Palliative Care Unit for the last few days of care as she passed away.
A memorial visitation for Patricia will be held Friday, June 14, 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home (1099 Gordon St.) The Funeral Mass will take place on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Joseph's Church (409 Paisley Rd.)
