On Sunday February 22, 2026, fifty-eight-year-old Trevor Massey of Guelph passed away at Guelph General Hospital, and none could be more saddened than those that he loved, and those that loved him back just as much and more.
Never forgotten by his four children, Savanna, Cameron, Ryan, and Dana, as well as his Granddaughter, Tina "Tini" Bellai.
Always loved and deeply missed by his parents Keith and Patricia Massey as well as his partner in life and all things that brought joy to Amberle Marshal-Little.
Trevor aka "Chevy" will be forever remembered as mentor, friend, and above all else brother, by his four siblings Michelle, Jason, Chris, and Joshua, as well as Jason's wife Melissa, and Josh's wife Krissy, who he loved like sisters.
He was a loving uncle to so many nieces and nephews, all of which he had the great pleasure of getting to see grow along with his own children.
Spending 30 years of his life working as a machine operator at The Gund Company he was forever a dedicated and hardworking man, both at his place of work, and at home.
Finding genuine joy in the simple things, a good laugh, a game, time spent with the people he loved, to many he was known as a truly kind soul that made others feel his kindness and good nature. He had an infectious laugh, quick wit, and loved a good party enjoying his life and those in it.
You could always find him watching hockey through the cold months, and baseball in the warm ones. Whether it be outdoors, reading a good book, watching a movie or show for the dozenth time, playing a Nintendo game, gardening, or finishing a sudoku puzzle, Trev could always be found doing something he found true joy in, but none more so than the many years he spent camping with family and friends.
He will be missed more than words can say, always encouraging all, but especially his children to follow their dreams, and that there is always a chance to get back up and try again.
The family would like to sincerely thank the nurses and staff at Guelph General Hospital and St Mary's General Hospital for their compassion and care while supporting him through his battle with pancreatic cancer. He fought right up until the end.
Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert Macintyre & Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. A Visitation will be held on Saturday March 14, 2026, from 1:00-2:00PM, with a Memorial Service immediately following at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel. Reception to follow.
