Urbane was a faithful man who will be missed by many.  We appreciate those who are good examples and faithful and steady in their place. They are an inspiration to those following . Was so nice to listen to the service for Urbane.... a good friend and special brother- in-law.  We will miss him... his kind and caring ways, good example and sense of humour.   Sending love to all the family.

Sorry for a great loss for family and extended family and his many great friends & colleagues.  Urbane & Joan welcomed so many in to their home over the years with love divine and true and I was one of those recipients and forever grateful.  Worked with Urbane at many convention projects… He nearly had me convinced that you could finish drywall with only one coat of mud!!  He said, “Oh a good thick coat of paint now and you won’t see that!”  He was, from that moment known to me as, “One coat Richards!”  His great sense of humour was infectious.  Glad that he has made it safely home and will be missed…

To the Richards family,

Many memories of growing up going to Urbane & Joan’s home for Union meeting, and piano lessons! Urbane will be greatly missed but we are so thankful for his faithful example and kindness shown to our family.

Urbane will be missed so much. We always enjoyed sitting with him at meal time at Dunnville convention, visiting together. He was always cheerful.  Great little visits.  Condolences to Brian, Anne-Marie and Adele, for the loss of your Dad. You will miss him dearly.

Urbane and Joan were special friends throughout the years. 

I won’t forget the times Urbane took us fishing or times spent together when he visited us in the Caribbean.  He was full of a zest for life and a deep love for those around him. His faith was an anchor to him and those around him.  

We think of Joan and their children losing this special man but deep down knowing that this is the eternal day Urbane was living for.

Some years ago in looking for the Seniors home in Guelph to visit other of the Richard's family members, I used Urbain's driveway on Evergreen to change directions, not knowing any homes in Guelph, when a man was doing work on his shrubs. 

I had just left Albert Reid's home, and I immediately told Urbain this, his reply was "That is my friend!" More than coincidence.

After my visit to the Seniors home I returned to Urbain and Joan's house for coffee, etc. I will not forget that evening!

My sincere condolences to ALL the family members, several I have met over the years. Urbain and Joan were special.

Our sincere sympathy to all the family on the passing of Urban. We have fond memories .
