Vincenzo Giuseppe Bortolon

It is with profound sadness that the family of Vincenzo Bortolon announce his peaceful passing on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the age of 85 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Antonietta; children: Aldo (Cookie) Bortolon and Tania (Steve) Krysa; grandchildren: Giancarlo, Ashley and Owen, brother, Bruno (Heidi) Bortolon and sister Giuseppina (Angelo) Serato; as well as numerous relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Dino; sister Rita; brother Augusto; and his parents: Maria and Rino Bortollon. May they rest in peace together. Born in San Zenone Degli Ezzelini, Treviso, Italy, Vincenzo came to Canada in 1956. He was a founding member of the Italian Canadian Club, where he forged strong friendships that lasted his lifetime. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph. Visitation is on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and 7:00pm to 9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in the Hart Chapel (same location) on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at 10:00am. Burial at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. Reception to follow at the Italian Canadian Club. Memorial Donations may be made in Vincenzo's name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or The Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital.
