Vivian Louise Burt (nee Chaulk)

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, Vivian Louise Burt (nee Chaulk), who passed away on April 15, 2025, at 101 years.

Predeceased by her husband Clifford Burt (Feb 2010). Vivian found her greatest joy in her family, whom she cherished above all else. She was a devoted mother to her sons and daughter and their partners: Laurie and Linda, Irene and (Bernie predeceased April 9, 2009), and Brian and Lyndra. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and their partners: Doug and Wanda, Shawn and Jessica, Steven and Raquel, Corey and Jessica, Philip and Tara, Lyenne, and Christine and Adam as well as her great-grandchildren Serena, Samantha, Hayley, Brianna, Caleb, Patience, Wyatt and Parker. She was predeceased by her parents Priscilla and Henry Chaulk and her sister Nina Hancock and brother Lynne Chaulk.

Vivian was born on September 16th, 1923, in Carmanville, Newfoundland where she had met and married Clifford. After some time, they moved to Toronto where Vivian and Clifford spent most of their lives. For a quieter life they moved to Northern Ontario and stayed there for a few years enjoying picking berries, watching wildlife and relaxing. Once Clifford died, Vivian moved to Southern Ontario where she spent time reading, knitting, working on jigsaw puzzles and watching soap operas. Vivian spent the last two years of her life at Lanark Heights, Kitchener Ontario. The family is grateful for the care she received during her short time at Lanark. Her warmth and love will remain in our hearts forever.

A celebration of life for Vivian will be held Monday, April 21, 2025, from 2:30-5:00PM at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, ON.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the Alzheimer's Society or Guelph Humane Society would be greatly appreciated by the family. Donations and condolences can be made on Vivian's memorial page.
