Newhook, Albert (Bert) John, 81, of Bedford, formerly of Port Hawkesbury passed away on Wednesday February 6, 2013 at the Victoria General Hospital surrounded by his family. Born in Badger, NFLD, he was the son of the late Harry and Pearl Newhook (Daulton). He is survived by his loving wife (Faye); sons David, Bedford; Rob, Halifax. Daughters Susan Olsen (Tom), Head of St. Margarets Bay and Jill MacDonald (Shawn), Halifax. Grandchildren; Adam, Elyse, Matthew, Liam and Olivia. He was predeceased by brothers Ronald and Frank. Before retiring Bert worked as Instrumentation Superintendent at Stora Enso. Bert was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed! The family wished to extend many thanks for the exceptional care he received from the nurses and doctors while he was a patient on floor 7”A” at the VG. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home in the Chapel on Monday February 11, 2013 at 2pm.
