

Miner (Steeves), Allison Audrey-81, of Halifax passed away on March 18, 2021 at the QE II Victoria General Hospital. Born in Edmonton, AB she was a daughter of the late Allison and Audrey (Arthur) Steeves.
She is survived by her siblings, Daryl (William Chaddock), Phyllis (Richard Fullerton), David (Pamela) Steeves; children, Kathryn (Richard Dubreuil), Laura (Michael McColl); grandchildren, Sarah (Adam), Colin (Lucy), Claire (Cody), Ryan and Meaghan; great grandchildren, Alex, Lily, Veronica and Theodore; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Allison attended Mount Saint Vincent University. After graduation she went on to work as a Dietician at various places that included, The Halifax Infirmary, the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, she was the VP for Versa services and finished her career doing consultation work. She also went back to teach at Mount Saint Vincent University.
She was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband, Henricus. After his passing she moved back to Nova Scotia to be surrounded by family and those she loved. She always looked forward to dressing up and entertaining when she had the opportunity. Music, art, dance and food were some of her favourite things. Allison’s family is looking forward to getting together in the future to celebrate her life and those she loved the most. Her passing has left a great hole in the hearts of our family who are waiting to see her again in heaven.
A special thank you to Melville Lodge for looking after Mom and giving great care during this very hard time for so many. We would also like to thank the Palliative Care Unit for their loving care to Allison and her family.

There will be no visitation or service at this time. Interment will take place at a later date in Holy Cross Cemetery, Thornhill ON.
