

Sadly, Angela passed away on Friday March 28 at St. Vincent’s Nursing Home in Halifax.
After leaving school in Jamaica, she worked hard at various jobs until she found her true calling in nursing. Angela left Jamaica for Glasgow, Scotland, where she completed her nursing degree and furthered her career by becoming a midwife. She continued to challenge herself and became an operating room nurse.
She started working in Halifax at the Victoria General Hospital in 1972. She spent many rewarding years as an operating room nurse in different specialties such as, plastics, general surgery and neuro and finishing her career in ophthalmology.
She was an active member of Saint Matthias Anglican Church and the Anglican Church of the Apostles. She was also a member of the ACW.
During her spare time as acquired a Bachelor of Arts in religious studies from St. Mary’s University. She also taught Thai Chi in Halifax.
Her cats Miranda, Suzanna and Grissom always held a special place in her heart. She was a dedicated sister to her siblings, Rosa, Beverly, Charles Connolly and Jeanetta and their spouses and children. She was a dear friend to Melody and Bruce Bayne and godmother to Courtney and Duncan Bayne.
Cremation has taken place. There will be s memorial service on Friday April 25, 2025 at 11am at the Anglican Church of the Apostles. Interment will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Wildlife Association or a charity of your choice.
