She was the daughter of Harold and Mae (MacKenzie) Baird. She was predeceased by her husband of 59 years, Fred Mounce whom she dearly missed in recent years. She is survived by her children; Terry (Denise), Garry and Lesley (Michael) MacInnis. She treasured her grandchildren Angela (Adam) Pellerine, David (Samantha), Jenna and Luke MacInnis and great grandchildren Isabelle, Lilly and Carter Pellerine. She attended school at Windsor Academy and Edgehill. In 1949 she married Dad and they moved from Windsor to Halifax to begin their love filled life together. Mom was an active member of St. John's United Church for over 60 years; singing in the choir, Cradle Role Superintendent, Women’s Auxiliary, Charter Member of the UCW (United Church Women) and present member of the Mary Todd Unit. Mom was also an active IWK Auxiliary volunteer for 43 years.
Mom was an avid and passionate sports fan, especially baseball and hockey or any sport in which her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren participated. At a young age Mom was Provincial Tennis Champion, played on the girls Windsor ice hockey and field hockey teams, enjoyed swimming and was a lover of pets. Mom's greatest joy and love in life was her family. She and Dad enjoyed their Florida home in the winter where they met and welcomed many friends and family to visit. Playing cards, jigsaw puzzles and knitting were all favourite pastimes for Mom. She truly cherished Sunday night family dinners where we all loved "Nanny's Apple Pies".
