

Sampson (Eigeard) nee Knight, Annie Kathleen. Age 85 of Halifax became an angel on August 15, 2013, at Parkstone Enhanced Care. Born on December 4, 1927, Anne was the youngest daughter of Thomas Henry and Elizabeth Ethel (Morris) Knight (Halifax). Anne was a kind, generous and loving woman who was loved by so many. She has been a member of City Church for the last 13 years and loved the Lord with all her heart. She had a good sense of humour and we will cherish her memories forever.
Anne was a recent resident of Parkstone Enhanced Care. In her younger years Anne worked at Kreskey’s and then at the Tartan Grill as a waitress for several years.
Anne will be greatly missed by her daughters Carol (Jim) Jollymore, Darlene Loke, (Hank Huizinga) and Linda (Joe) LeBlanc; daughter-in-law Helen Sampson; brother Gordon Knight; grandchildren Michelle Ward (Mark Stallard), Steven (Cylina) Jollymore (Winnipeg), Tracy (Archie) Adams, Debbie (Darren) McCormick, Danielle Sampson (Jason) and Karlie Cole (Steve), all of HRM; seven great-grandchildren Sara, Morgan, Nina, Ryan, Connor, Abby, Brooklyn; several in-laws and many nieces and nephews throughout Canada.
Besides being predeceased by her parents, Anne lost her first husband Carl Eigeard in 1973, and her 2nd husband Joe Sampson in 2001; her son Paul in 2004; sisters Theresa Kline, Lillian Munn, and Elizabeth Pye; brothers Harry, Alf, Kenny and Freddie; and a brother and sister in infancy.
Visitation will be held at J.A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, B3S 0E1 (455-0531) on Sunday, August 18, from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. A celebration of life will be held on Monday, August 19, 2013, at 2:00 pm in City Church, 276 Herring Cove Road, with Pastor Jerry Kendrick officiating. Special music by granddaughter Michelle and a reception immediately following. Family flowers only but if you wish to make a donation in Anne’s memory, please do so to The Master’s Pantry at City Church, 276 Herring Cove Road.
