Born on July 25, 1953, in Halifax, Arthur was a man of unwavering strength, resilience, and love. His passing has left a void in the hearts of his family and friends that can never be filled.
Arthur was the cherished son of Cornelius and Marguerite Sampson, and a beloved brother to Alex (Jane), Darryl (Carolyn), Karen (Yves), and Laura (Ron). He was a devoted husband to Irene, a loving father to his son Jamie (Melissa) and daughters Gina (Anthony) and Jennifer (Trevor), a doting grandfather to Autumn, Marques, Connor, Jacob, Halle, and Kyler, and a proud great-grandfather to Claire. He was also a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews. His family was the center of his world, and he poured his heart and soul into providing for them and creating a warm, loving home.
Arthur was known for his indomitable spirit and his love for running. He found solace and joy in pushing himself to new limits, and his determination and strength during those moments will be remembered by all who knew him. Despite facing health struggles in his later years, Arthur never gave up the fight for himself and his family. His unwavering courage and resilience will forever be a source of inspiration and pride for those who loved him.

Funeral services to honor Arthur's life will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Arthur’s name to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia or a charity of your choice.
