McAskill (Beane) Barbara, age 93, passed away at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Mother of Heather Pelham (Stephan Hart) and the late Kirk McAskill. Beloved grandmother of Christian and Michelle Pelham and great-grandmother of Austin and Ryder. Loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. Barbara will be remembered for her sharp mind and dry wit. Barbara’s remains will be buried at a later date at Beebe Plains Cemetery, Quebec, beside her beloved husband Bob and son Kirk. An informal reception will be held on Saturday, November 2, from 2-4 pm in the Dundee Lounge, Cameron Hall, Parkland (Clayton Park) 114 Fairfax Drive, Halifax.
