

Wilkie, Brian Aubrey, White’s Lake, peacefully passed away at home on September 9, 2013. He was born in Halifax on October 27, 1950, to the late Vincent and Irene (Kerr) Wilkie. He was survived by his wife of 33 years, Elaine (Ettinger), daughter Charmaine, Halifax, son Troy (Jillian Lund), Lancaster, California, son Cory, Halifax, sister Linda Piercey, Halifax, brother-in-laws Dave Piercey and Dan MacKinnon, aunt Gladys Kerr and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister Donna MacKinnon. Brian attained the highest rank of Queen’s Scout. After graduating from SJA MacDonald, Brian furthered his education by getting his electronics before he went on to become a machinist, a career he enjoyed very much. Brian retired this past June with 40 years’ service with HMCS dockyard, where he had made many good friends. Cremation has taken place under the direction of JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax. Visitation takes place Friday September 13 from 3-8pm and a celebration of life service Saturday September 14 at 2pm.
