

It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the passing of Carman who died peacefully at home on July 4, 2015 at the age of 61. Son of Marion Morrison and the late Lorne Morrison of Timberlea. He is survived by his daughters Cara (Trevor) Campbell of New Glasgow, and Ashley (Jason) Morrison of Halifax, and grandchildren Lauren, Carson and Bailey; and by sisters Greta (Doug) Fillier of Truro, Ethel of Timberlea, and Lynne (Rob) Brown of Timberlea, brothers Al (Bev) of Saint John, NB, Dave of Timberlea, Eric (Catherine) of Halifax, Reg (Lynda) of Timberlea, and Doug (Ann Marie) of Lakeside, and many nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his wife Mildred (MacIsaac) of Inverness, NS and brothers Owen and Charlie.
Carman was born in Summerside, PEI, and moved to Nova Scotia at an early age. He worked in the restaurant business for many years. He found his true passion as an owner of the Whispering Winds Campground, where he gained an extended family of hundreds of campers who knew and loved him over the years.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 8 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 - 9 pm. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, Thursday, July 9 at St. Agnes Church, 6903 Mumford Rd., Halifax. Following the Mass, friends are invited to a reception in the Church hall. Family flowers only please. Donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
