Carole Ann Covey

Carole Ann Covey, 71 of Timberlea, NS died March 19, 2013 after a short illness in the QEII Health Sciences Center, Halifax. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of the late James and Grace(Peters)Melanson. Carole had a great love of horses and rode during her younger years. She also had a soft spot for cats. Carole loved being near the ocean, sailing with her brother and spending summer days in Mackerel Cove at the family homestead. She also enjoyed travel, especially to sunny destinations. A long-time resident of Timberlea, Carole was a member of the BLT Citizens on Patrol, Tantallon RCMP Detachment for many years. She was retired from MLT&T and was a member of the MT&T Pioneers. Carole cared for her elderly mother, providing a loving home and companionship during her mother’s last few years of life. She was a good friend and had a great sense of humour. She will be especially missed by her good friends Pat, Diane and Lorraine. Carole was predeceased by her brother Donald(Phyllis), Vancouver. She is survived by her brother Gordon(Sandra), Timberlea, two nephews, Paul of Tantallon and Troy of Lewis Lake, three grandnephews and one grandniece. Cremation has taken place. There will be a Memorial Service, Saturday, March 30, 2013, 11am in JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Hfx NS B3S 0E1(455-0531), reception to follow. Family flowers only.
