He was born in Grindstone, Magdalen Island, Quebec, the son of the late William and Sadie Sumarah; October 7, 1924.
His life work was in the family business in the Magdalen Islands ‘til his retirement to live in Halifax at the family home.
Charles is survived by four brothers, Frank, Roger (Jacqui), Albert (Dorothy), Robert and one sister, Mary; nieces and nephews of 3 generations.
Visitation on Friday, December 16, 2016, from 4-8 pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
Funeral mass will be offered at St. Thomas Aquinas Parish, 1745 Oxford Street on Saturday, December 17, 2016, at 11:00 am. Father Owen Connelly officiating. Reception to be held following the funeral at J.A Snow Funeral Home.
Private burial to be held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville. Family flowers only.
