Christopher John Bevis

It is with sadness and broken hearts we announce the passing of husband, father, son and brother Christopher John Bevis, 47, of Timberlea, NS, on Sunday, November 18, 2018, with family by his side. Born in Halifax, he was the son of Richard Bevis and the late Yvonne (Pearce) Bevis.

Chris was an enthusiastic fisher as well as a dedicated soccer player and an avid skier. He had volunteered with his children’s soccer teams. Chris was a Certified Financial Planner and had worked in Financial Services for a number of years. At the present time, he was with Himmelman & Associates.

He is survived by his wife, Tina (Fillmore); daughter, Lauren and son, Logan; father, Richard; brother, Shannon Bevis (Katherine Fougere); sisters, Laura Young (Larry Keizer) and Michelle Zareski; in-laws, Arden and Dianne Fillmore; brother-in-law, Scott (Monique) Fillmore; nephews Jacob Young and Connor Fillmore; nieces, Samantha and Emma Zareski and Madeline Fillmore.

There will be no visitation. Funeral service will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, on Friday, November 23, 2018, at 2:00 pm, Reverend Jim Anderson officiating. There will be a private family interment at Sunrise Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
