Dale was born in Yarmouth NS on May 11, 1945, to Marjorie (Gavel) and Albert Kline.
Dale was a well-known figure on the Halifax water front where many years he was a faithful paper carrier for The Chronicle Herald. He was welcomed aboard many ships by both the captains and their crews. He especially enjoyed his many visits to The Sanderling or as he affectionately called it ‘The Sandbug’, he enjoyed many games of ‘crib’ at the Mission to Seafarers and at The Cue and Cushion.
Unfortunately following the tragic events of 9/11 his travels on waterfront were very limited and he missed his friends very much.
Dale is survived by his loving common-law wife, Evangeline Brown. Also, he is survived by his cousin, Eileen Phillips (Harold) and family of Lower Sackville NS.
A visitation will be held on Friday, May 13 from 12- 1 pm with a service to follow at 1 pm at The Mission of Seafarers, 844 Marginal Road, Halifax.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Mission of Seafarers.
