Darlene A Godfrey

GODFREY, Darlene Alma (nee Nute) - passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, August 17, 2012 at home in Bedford, NS. Born in Victoria, BC, Darlene along with Philip, her husband of 53 years, spent most of her married life on the East Coast, raising their seven children in Windsor. A very loving wife, mother, nanny and greatgrandmother, she will be forever loved and deeply missed by Philip, Michael (Wendy), Marc (Mary), Mary (Tom), M. Fred (Dean-Na), Maurene (Ron), Michelle (Reg), and Matthew (Karen); grandchildren, Christopher (Elyse), Melissa, Nicholas, Adam (Leah), Erika, Justin (Sarah), Jerrod, Richard, Cameron, Hayley, Alec, Eric, Cody, Jeremy, Jenna-Marie, Jordin, Robert, Keaton, Olivia and Bennett; and her great grands, Sierra, Dante and Amaya. She will be missed also by her sisters, Marilyn (Bill) Emery and Carole (Ralph) Minkler; her brothers, Gary and Ron (Susie) Nute and all their families, sister-in-law Sylvelin (Howard) and their family along with many cousins across the country.

Also missing her will be the Coffee Club in Quispamsis, NB.

She was predeceased by her sweet granddaughter Nathalie, her parents Tom and Alma (Sluggett) Nute, her brother, Daryl and nieces Anne Marie and Melanie Anne Emery.

Darlene worked many years with Kentville Publishing and NB Publishing (Telegraph Journal), following in the footsteps of her father and grandfather, both long time pressmen with Vic Press in Victoria.
