David Bennett

Bennett, David 64 and formally of Halifax, and Corner Brook NL, passed peacefully September 3, 2018 surrounded by family in Windsor, Ontario. David is survived by Vicki Pringle, partner of 22 years; first wife Barbara Rowsell; 4 sons, Paul, Robert, Matthew Bennett and James Borden; grandchildren Shayna, Kyle (Robert), Alexander, Cayla (Matthew) and Ava (James); stepchildren Valerie and Jeff Pringle; sister Mary (Greg White) and brother Paul. Predeceased by parents Harold and Hilda Benoit; brother, Joe and sister, Gloria. Also survived by birth mother Theresa Sheppard (Rowe); half-siblings Mary, Terry, Gerry, Cal., USA, Rodney, NS and Melinda NL.

David was a caring and loving partner, father and grandfather. His greatest loves were being by the water, close to nature, just driving the countryside and travelling. He had many types of jobs throughout his lifetime, starting at age 10 until he ended up in construction in Toronto, working alongside his son Matthew.

Service to be held October 6, 2018 at 11:00am at JA Snow Funeral Home, Halifax. Burial to take place in Corner Brook NL October 8, 2018 at Mount Patricia Cemetery, after visitation from 1 – 2pm at Fillatre Funeral Home 4 Street Mark’s Cove. Donations may be made to the ALS Society.
