His Grandchildren, Adam in Brampton ON, Mark (Justine Halliday) in Halifax and Julia (James) Shrubb, in Petawawa ON knew that he loved them unconditionally and although they will miss him dearly, they will keep him close with many wonderful memories.
His Great-grandchildren Sam, Peter, Jack, Aggie and Theo will remember their Great Grampy with big smiles when they hear someone say “Keep your eyes on your fries.”
David loved his family and was happiest in their midst. His second love was the Los Angeles Dodgers, who won the World Series on Oct 27 after 32 years. David always said that when the Dodgers won the Series, he could die a happy man. We just didn’t know he meant it so literally! He was heard to list his great loves as his Family, The Dodgers and sometimes Jesus. He was a long time member of the Spryfield Legion where he would go for a beer and a game of crib with his friends.
He was born in St. John’s NL in 1934.He was the youngest of seven children born to the late, James and Molly (Bambrick) Ryall. He is predeceased by all of his siblings, Mona (Jim) Hurley, Frank (Gladys), Sam (Dolly), Lorraine (George) Mitchell, Mary (Nick) Mitchell and Bernadette (Frank) Schmidt.
There will be no services at this time. If you would like to remember David, get together with loved ones, have some fish and chips and a beer, and tell an oddly funny story.
He loved and was loved, and that’s the best part of life right there.
