Dennis was predeceased by his beloved wife, Margie (née Morash), with whom he shared many wonderful years. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Helen (née Grant), and his siblings, Doug, Leonard, Bradford, Marlene Burke, and Audrey Doy. In a heartbreaking turn of events, his sister, Joyce Day, passed away just three days after him. He is survived by his loving sister, Sandra Bennett.
Dennis lived a life full of simple pleasures and meaningful moments. He had a deep love for music and dancing, often enjoying evenings at the Legion, where he could be found on the dance floor, sharing laughter with friends. He was an avid fan of radio bingo, a game that brought him excitement and connection. Hockey was another lifelong passion, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Above all, Dennis loved being near the seaside, where he found peace and a sense of belonging.
His warmth, kindness, and love for his family and friends will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Dennis’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to a charity of choice.
