Dimitra Tsimiklis

Dimitra Tsimiklis (nee Stathopoulos), a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2023 surrounded by loved ones. She was predeceased by her cherished husband Dimitrios (Jimmy) and brothers Nickolas and Petros Stathopoulos. She is survived by her three sons, Elias (Leo), Stavros (Steve) and Giorgos (George) and sister Vangelia Panagiotopoulos. She will be forever remembered with love and devotion by her grandchildren Dimitra, Noelle, Dimitrios and Konstantina.

Dimitra was one of four children born in Sterna, Greece to Constantina and Stavros Stathopoulos. She moved to Canada in 1960 where she met the love of her life, her precious husband Jimmy. Together, they placed roots in Halifax where they worked hard and raised their children. Dimitra was a woman of faith and her devotion to God was central in her life. She loved her garden and flowers and meals around her kitchen table with family and friends. Her commitments to lifelong friendships, church and family were very special to her. She will be sadly missed by all. Dimitra was a true believer and has passed on to the glory of God.

Visitation will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, on Monday, October 16th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm.

A Funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church at 1pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church and St. Antonios Antiochian Orthodox Church.
