TSIMIKLIS, Dimitrios (Jim) – 70, of Halifax, died on July 14th, 2011, while vacationing in Greece. Born in Harakopio, Greece on April 7th, 1941, to Elias and Georgina Tsimiklis. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 47 years, Dimitra (Stathopoulos); children, Elias, Stavros and his children, Dimitra and Noelle; George and wife Laura and their son, Dimitri. He was predeceased by his sisters, Theodora, Athanasia and Koula. He is survived by his brothers, Andreas, and Alexandros; sisters, Tasi, Katina and Panagiota. Dimitrios immigrated in 1964 to Canada in search for his dream which was to marry and raise a family. He achieved that dream by his success in business which has been recognized throughout the community. For those who knew him knew that nothing brought him greater happiness than the time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, July 28th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 29th in Saint George’s Greek Orthodox Church, 38 Purcell’s Cove Rd., Halifax.
