CREELMAN, Donald Vincent "Dada" — 74, Halifax. On Sunday, May 27, 2012, our husband, father, and grandfather passed away at home from complications related to lung cancer. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Florence Creelman. Don is survived by his wife, Evelyn; and children, Christine (Brian Devitt), Cambridge, Ont.; Nikki (Stephen Forest), Halifax; and Patrick (Jenny Boenes), Halifax. Don also had two grandchildren, Matthew Forest and Nicholas Creelman, who gave him great joy, and a third to arrive in August. He is also survived by his brother, Earl, Lower Sackville; and sister, Margie Ryan, Hamilton, Ont. He will also be missed by his sidekick, Kippy. Don worked for Canada Post for 30 years, retiring in 1991. At Don's request, there will be no visitation and a private gathering will be held at a later date. He will be interred at St. John's Cemetery, Halifax. In his words, "I'll see you all upstairs." The family would like to thank Dr. Frank Lo for his continued care and support as well as the staff of the QEII MICU. Donations in Don's memory can be made to the Lung Association of Nova Scotia or IWK Health Centre Foundation.
