

82, Halifax, passed away on June 26, 2009 in the QE II Health Sciences Centre. He was the son of the late George C. and Lydia (Sawlor) Richardson. He was employed for many years with Halifax Metal Workers (now Marid Industries Ltd.) as Plant Supervisor. His hobbies included boatbuilding and woodturning which he enjoyed very much. He was a Master Mason of Royal Sussex Lodge No. 6 AF & AM for 53 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Elizabeth (Osborne); son, Stephen; sisters, Bernice (O'Flynn) and Marjorie (Vaughan); sister-in-law, Betty (Thompson) Richardson; and a number of nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Maurice, Melbourne; and sisters, Marian (Hiltz) and Myrtle (Demont). He will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by his wife and son. They wish to express their deep appreciation to the doctors and nursing staff of the QE II Health Sciences Centre for their kindness, compassion and professional treatment. Visitation to take place 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday July 1, 2009 at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. A Masonic Service will be held immediately prior to the 2 p.m. funeral service on Thursday July 2, 2009, Rev. Linda Yates officiating. Private burial service following at Oakridge Memory Gardens, Lower Sackville, NS. Family flowers only.
