She is survived by daughter Carol Lynn (George) Knowles and son Clyde (Christine) Smith, four grandsons, two great-grandchildren, sisters Noreen (Dennis) Newnham, Roma (Phillip) Hawke and Helen Spring. Donny was born in Toronto, the daughter of the late Roy and Luella (Foster) Spring. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon (Buddy) Smith in 2006.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531. There will be no service at the request of the deceased.
