All our prayers and condolences for the Schumacher family. We knew the Mr and Mrs Schumacher and their family when they lived in Buchans, NL. Our family has lived in the Schumacher's house in Buchans since they moved. Edith always kept in touch with kind, thoughtful and articulate letters and cards. All the O'Brien Family is saddened to hear of her passing.

Edith was a very fine lady, with lots of love for all. And I believe the vegetable she loved most was Asparagus. May Edith memories be with you always like a bird singing in the rain. May the Blessings follow you all always.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  "Tante Edith" was always a big part of our lives, I'm very glad she and my mother met all those years ago, I think they were more like sisters than friends, for over 50 years!  I know she'll always live in your hearts and all the wonderful memories you have of her.

Erica, I'm so sorry to hear of your Mom's passing.  Gord & I are thinking of you and your family at this very difficult time.  May you find comfort in your memories and draw strength from your family.

To Larry, Christine, Curtis, Karyn and Katie and family: I was so sorry to hear of Edith's passing. I haven't spoken with her in a while but always enjoyed our conversations and Christmas Carolling to her home. The loss of a parent is extremely difficult and I hope you find solace in the many fond memories you have of your times together. To Curtis, Karyn, and Katie, speak often of your grandmother and remember all the good times you had with her. Curtis, Karyn and Katie - I know you are missing your Gram - and Curtis I know that you loved your Gram's cooking because she was the best cook ever!! Gram was someone you could always go to. She was a very nice person. I am very sad that she is gone. Her house was filled with her heart and soul. She loved music, her children and grandchildren. I will miss you very much and so will sandi the dog.

Words cannot express how I feel hearing about Edith's passing.   I was so hoping to see her again this summer when I head home from Mexico..  We are so sorry for your loss.  She will be missed dearly.  My heart goes out to all you girls and family..   Rest in Peace Edith..
