White, Edith Carol Ann, Dartmouth, the stage manager, and the glue that held our family together, died, surrounded by love, at the Dartmouth General Hospital, on September 26, 2021. She was 81 years young.
She is survived by her children, Kathy (Eric) Barnhill, Heather White, Roy (Angela) White Jr, and Derrick White; her grandchildren Evan (Kristen) Barnhill, Chelsea (Dan) Weatherbee, Brianna (Matt) Johnson and Joel (Natasha) Patey, Lia White and four great grandchildren, as well as siblings Earl (Liz) Were, Fred (Bev) Were, Albert (Bev) Were, Evie (George) Roy, Ron (Donna) Were, Susan (David) Slaunwhite, and Phil (Sandra) Were.
Carol will be reuniting with her parents, Edna and Ted Were, and her husband, of fifty-eight years, Roy White Sr, who we are sure Carol is jiving with as we speak.
Carol was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, sister and friend, who preferred to work in the background, and leave the spotlight to others. When she wasn’t looking after her family, she loved to garden, watch The Women’s Network, and cook and bake. (quite possibly the best carrot cake ever) She was a long time member, and former president, of her second family, her sororiety, Beta Sigma Phi.
