Eileen G. Gaulton

GAULTON, Eileen Gwendolyn (Francis) - 90, of Halifax passed away June 21, 2012 at the Northwood Manor where she resided. Born in Hermitage, Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the Late Emily and Captain John Benjiman Francis. Mom left Nfld in her early twenties and moved to North Sydney, where she married Dad in 1944. They lived for 20 years in Jollimore where she and dad worked as caretakers at Fintighmara Estate. Mom was involved with St Augustine’s Ladies Guild for many years. She was a wonderful homemaker and had a great talent in her beautiful needle work and knitting that she often enjoyed with her sister, our aunt Susie. We are very thankful for her long life. Eileen is survived by daughters, Maxine (Grant), Linda (Wayne), Janet (Nathan); son, Allan (Janice); sister, Susie Parsons; nine grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband of 52 years Walter Robert Gaulton in 1996, brothers, Ray and Aubrey and sisters, Nina and Beryl. Visitation will be held Monday, June 25 from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Memorial service will be held 2 pm on Tuesday, June 26 in Apostles Anglican Church, Bayers Road, Halifax.
