January 3, 1947 - November 6, 2020. It is with great sadness that Dante and Cristoforo Morrone announce the unexpected death of their brother, Enrico. The Lord called him home to be with his parents, the late Nora Jean Morrone (Scott) and Antonio Joseph Morrone (Halifax business owner of "Tony's Corner"), as well as Ezio - his baby brother.
Surviving are brother, Dante (Barb) and Cristoforo "Chris" (Joan); nephews, Andrew and Matthew and families; niece, Alecia and family; step nephews, Nathan, Ben and step niece, Kate and family.
Historically, Enrico and his brothers enjoyed a great life in Halifax with his family and neighborhood friends that centered around his father's store on Chebucto Road in Halifax. His university education was interrupted by the onset of schizophrenia, but he continued to be an avid reader of complex topics up to the time of his passing. Enrico was a car enthusiast in the 1960s and currently loved trips to the Chicken Burger (Sunnyside) with Chris in his mustang convertible. His mother dedicated her life to caring for Enrico. Also, Norman and Gregory Publicover, both friends of the family, were attentive to Enrico's needs for years - for this the family is very grateful.
We would also like to thank all the healthcare workers that assisted Enrico over the years, in particular, Dr. Ezio Dini, nurse Patricia, and Clayton House. We are grateful for the assistance of the staff at Oxford Manor and Enrico's friendly housemates who also ran errands and cared for Enrico over the last five years, and who currently sadly miss him.
Visitation will be held in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax on Monday, November 16th from 2-4 p.m. A private burial with Graveside Service will be held at a later date; Rev. Vicki Brown officiating.
