Eugenio Francisco Medeiros

Born in São Miguel Island, Açores Islands on November. 13, 1946.

He was the son of Pedro Furtado - Medeiros and Maria de Lourdes Braga. He was a devoted, loyal, hardworking man with The United Brotherhood of Carpenters, Local 83, for over 45 years. He was an avid gardener who enjoyed being outdoors in the beauty of nature with his best fur friend Joey, who was always by his side.

Survived by his wife, Gail Marie (Beranger) Medeiros of 50 years, Halifax; daughter Angelina Medeiros (Jackie), Dartmouth; grandson Cain Eugenio Medeiros; sons, Peter, Halifax, and John (Bonnie) Sackville; granddaughter Allie Maria Medeiros; sister Maria Medeiros, Bedford; brothers, Joseph (Fatima) Medeiros, Bedford and John (Linda) Medeiros, Dartmouth; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father and mother, Pedro-Furtado Medeiros and Maria de Lourdes Braga

Memorial service will be held Thursday, November 24th at 10:00a.m.in J.A. Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Pastor Jackie Harvie officiating. A reception/ celebration of life will follow. Burial to take place in The Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Sackville. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society and VON Halifax
