Evelyn May Sampson

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She passed away peacefully Friday May 6, 2016 at the age of 92 surrounded by her family.

Born in Halifax on April 16th 1924, she was the daughter of the late William and Stella May (White) Green.

She worked at Moirs chocolates in her younger years, and after marriage her devotion was raising her family.

Mom loved being with family whether it was a picnic on the beach or travelling, especially to Florida.

She is survived by her daughters, Carol Arseneau, Halifax , Beverly (John) Parker,Calgary, Cheryl, Waterville, Debbie, Halifax, Nancy (Dan) Myles, Halifax , Daughter-in-law Sharon, Hammond's Plains and her sons Alan (Ann) Hammond's Plains, Robert (Kelly), Hammond's Plain's. Grandchildren Marc, Michelle, Jennifer, Kirk, Adam, Amanda, Erin, Cody, Matthew, Jacqueline and Paul. Great grandchildren Brody, Josh, Nolan and Hudson.

She was predeceased by her husband Alfred, sons Brian and Frederick in infancy, Paul and great grandchild Xavier.

A special thanks to her good friend Anna for her continued friendship over the years.

We would also like to thank the third floor staff of St. Vincent's Nursing Home for their care and support.

In memory of our mother donations can be made to the Children's Wish Foundation. She will be dearly missed by all and remembered forever.

Visitation will be held on Thursday May 12 from 2 -4 pm and 7 – 9 pm and a funeral service on Friday May 13 at 10 am all in J. A. Snows Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive Halifax.
