Gloria Hickey

HICKEY (Novelli) Gloria - 87 of Halifax died peacefully April 22, 2011 in St. Vincent’s Nursing Home. A devoted mother and homemaker, she will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her six children Robert (Mary), Diane Delaney (Jack), Carol Ravina (Amadeo/Tony),Douglas (Ellen), Stephen (Tanya Kelly) of Chester and Wayne. Nan/Nanny held a special place in the hearts of her ten grandchildren Susan, Deborah, Paul, Tracie, Anthony, Dax, Paolo, Justin, Jennifer and Patrick, her ten great grandchildren, Samantha, Lindsay, Morgan, Kristen, Delaney, Sophia, Liam, Owen, Ryan and Thomas, and one great great grand daughter, Mya, several nieces and nephews. The last surviving member of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her loving husband of sixty years, Frederick, her mother Daisy, brothers George, Edward and Frank, sisters Nellie and Gert. The family would like to thank the staff of the second floor, St. Vincent’s for their loving compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Wednesday April 27th, from 6-9 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax N.S (902) 455-0531. Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 28th at 10:30 a.m. in St. James Anglican Church, Rev. Canon Rod Gillis officiating. Reception to follow service in Church Hall, committal following reception in Fairview Lawn Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her late husband. Flowers welcome.
