

Gordon William Cahill passed away peacefully at home on December 13, 2017 at the age of 91. His loving and devoted wife of almost 70 years was by his side. The two were inseparable as they thought the world of one another. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late William and Margaret (Hartnett) Cahill. Gordon was employed with National Sea Products for over 40 years where he rose to Manager of Corporate Sales. In his younger years he enjoyed playing sports, especially hockey and baseball. He loved all Canadian sports teams and was a die-hard Montreal Canadians fan. He is survived by his wife, Annie (Murphy); children, Barbara White, Judy (David) Brown, Janet (Allan) Hamilton and Pam (Paul) MacMillan; grandchildren, Andrea (Matthew) Chabassol, Tanya (Devin) Ashley, Ian (Tanner) Brown, Neil Hamilton, Alanna Hamilton, Ethan MacMillan and Jack MacMillan; great-grandchildren, Olivia, Aubree, William and Sadie. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 17, with the funeral at 3:30pm followed by a reception all at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Our family will be attending a mass for the Repose of his Soul on Monday, December 18 at Saint Benedict Church, Halifax. Burial will take place at a later date. Our family would like to thank Dr. Tilley for his incredible devotion and care. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
