He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Vera (Smith) Paul; daughters, Tanya and Natasha Paul; granddaughter, Paityn Turner; sisters, Susan Paul Canton and Pam Purcell; brother, Michael Paul, and many nieces and nephews.
Greg is predeceased by his parents Marion and Douglas Paul and grandmother Minnie Smith.
Greg was a family man; he liked to have his family close by. He enjoyed spending time with his precious granddaughter, Paityn doing lots of ‘fun things’, walking his labs on the beach, fishing and playing poker with the boys, and deer hunting with his daughter Tanya. He was an avid sportsman enjoying baseball, hockey, basketball and golf. He was also well read with a quick wit and was a great history buff. He especially enjoyed local history.
He was retired from the DND Dockyard after 42 years as a Marine Pipefitter where he served as vice president for 10 years and president for 15 years of the U/A Pipefitters Local 282. Greg participated in many committees for Local 282, the Pipe Shop and within the FMF unit itself, including the bargaining committee, FMF Fun Day, golf tournaments, and many other activities too numerous to mention.
