Helen Gladys Loomer

LOOMER, HELEN GLADYS, age 93, passed away on November 11, 2015 in Palliative Care, the VG site, QEII. Born in Truro, NS. Daughter of the late William LeMert and Helen (Leopold) Banks. She lived most of her life in Kentville, Wolfville and Halifax areas. She was an active member in the choir, ACW of St. John’s Church of Wolfville. Past Matron of Blomidon Chapter #68 Order of Eastern Star. While living in Halifax, she attended the Cathedral Church of All Saints and was active in the Anniversary and Gordon Groups ACW. She is survived by her husband, Roy E. Loomer, sons Stephen (Colleen) Vancouver, BC, David (Bonita) Middle Sackville, NS and daughter Carol Ann (Craig) Hopkins, Windsor, NS. Two granddaughters Lisa Marie and Amanda Lee (Jody MacNeil) , great granddaughters Raine Faith and River Grace, step-grandson Rory Saxby. Brother Earl Banks, nephews Peter (Laurel) and Wayne (Grace). She was predeceased by first husband F/O Raymond Foote, killed in action, RCAF, WWII. Cremation taken place under the direction of J.A. Snows’ Funeral Home Ltd. Halifax.
