Irene lived an adventurous life and was not afraid to venture out on her own at times. She enjoyed travelling and lived in Guatemala and Curasol where she was involved with ministry work. Irene and Jo also enjoyed spending time at their “bungalow”.
Irene was a kind and generous lady who never sought attention.
Many of her family and friends have been blessed with the beautiful gifts she created. She enjoyed many crafts, including quilting, sewing, cross stitch and knitting. Her projects were always completed with great care and perfection. Irene was also a talented piano player, an amateur photographer and the organizer of many photo albums. She especially enjoyed a daily swim, a good hike and completing the daily crossword puzzle. Irene’s quiet kindness will be fondly remembered by her friends, co- workers and those who shared time with her at crafting sessions, Lydia Circle , Bible studies and simple moments over a cup of coffee with an egg salad sandwich and a cookie.
Many thanks to her special friends, whose devotion and care allowed Irene to stay in her home as long as possible. They truly were her angels.
