James Patrick MacDonald

MacDonald, James Patrick – age 71 of Halifax, passed away Sat. Nov. 23, 2013 in the Halifax Infirmary after a brief illness. He was a resident of Maplestone Nursing Home for the past 18 months. He was the son of the late James P. MacDonald and Bessie O. MacDonald (Judge). He was an employee of Department of National Defense for thirty years retiring in 2006. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by a daughter, Suzanne, brother, Bobby and also brother Ronald. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda (Harnish) , son David, Halifax. Sisters, Sharon Oliver (Vernon,) Regina, Nancy, Dartmouth, and Sheila Lambert (Norman). He attended Kings College School in Windsor. Cremation has taken place under the direction of J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. There will be a visitation on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, from 6-8 p.m. Interment will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery on Thursday, November 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society - http://www.arthritis.ca/NS .
