Uncle Doug and family, although we only got to meet Aunty Jean on a few of your visits to the UK, we have fond memories of Aunty Jean and your family from the time you came back to renew your wedding vows on your 40th wedding anniversary.
It came as a shock to hear of her passing.

Sorry to read in the paper of Jean's passing.  Daddy use to tell us the story about how you went back to England to marry Jean and bring her home with you.  When we finally moved down to the farm from the Rose Property, he always claimed that the black scuff marks on the hardwood in the dining room and front room were from "Doug dancing with his army boots on".  Daddy always loved whenever you and Jean dropped in for a visit and would spend the next week telling everybody in Grand Pre "One of the Havill boys was home".   I'm sure you all have many precious memories.

Dear Bruce, Elaine, Diana, John & Suzie,

Your mom was like a second mom to me in her love and caring. She would always ask about how things were going in the ministry for me and John and I know she prayed for us. She was always so kind and thoughtful and of course, her smiling face lit up any room into which she walked. 

The Park feels different without her, even though she hasn't lived here for a while. Every time I drive by "your house" I smile as I remember some incident or other that we shared there. One of the last memories I had with your Mom there was sitting out on the deck having tea on one of my visits from out west. We will miss her greatly.

I couldn't help but smile yesterday though, as I thought of Jean running into the arms of Jesus :).  Both had the biggest smiles on their faces and the joy of Heaven knew no bounds at one of its own "coming home". :)
