We are so very sorry to hear of your mother's passing and wish to extend our sincere sympathy. If only there were words that could magically heal a broken heart but of course there are none. Only time will ease the pain and sorrow but the broken heart will never really mend because it is filled with so much love and devotion for someone who meant so much to you. Yet, from that broken heart an even greater love will grow. The wonderful memories you have of your mom will stay with you for eternity as will the deep and undying love. May you find comfort in knowing she will always be with you, protecting and watching over you from above. Our hearts go out to you, Chad and your entire family at this very difficult time.

Jean was an amazing woman and a wonderful mother. She was loving, kind, funny and always there for you when you needed her. I feel very lucky to have known my "Mum#2" and I will always miss her. To My Family;

   When I moved to Nova Scotia I didn't have any family or friends to turn to. Then I met Patrick full of life and energy and it seemed almost instant that we became best-friends. 
   As time when on I got to meet the rest of the Lundrigan family, and they all became near and dear to me. I then moved in with Patrick and Chad (for a few month), and I was then treated as if I had a whole new family.
   The first time I met Jean was at her home, and instantly I was greeted with the warmest heart I had ever known. I literally started to call her Momma.
   Each encounter I had with Momma Jean I saw a life full of happiness and love. Momma Jean was almost twice my age and I had a hard time keeping up with her, whether it was walking around the city on Canada Day, or trying to keep up with her on the dance floor. Dance! Man she could dance, and teach me some moves.
   Even when I went to visit her in the hospital, she still made me laugh because of the envelope of a card I wrote Jean. She handed it back to me, and said, "This is not mine, I am your Momma, not Jean."
   When I started at Saint Mary's University I would stop by the house on a regular basis walking to class. Adam and Mildred would be sitting on the front step and they would get my Momma. She would run out and jump off those steps to give me a hug and kiss. That is what I am going to miss the most, and it breaks my heart that all I have are those memories, and not so many more.
   Dear Momma, I will always miss you and pray for you. You will always be in my thoughts and heart.
   Pat, Ed, Patrick, Lisa, Adam, and Mildred. May the thought that your mother's warmth and love that touched so many lives, comfort you in this trying time. Know that her spirit will live on in everybody's life that she touched.

I was very sorry to hear of your Mother's passing, but understand she has been ill a long time, so is now no longer suffering.

You don't know me, but feel as if I know you. I'm Sarah Goulding's "Nana Sue", and have heard many stories over the years. She was here just before Christmas and told me about your Mom. 

It is very difficult to lose one's Mother, but hope the fact that she is no longer suffering, and that she'll always be looking down at you, and that she lives forever in your heart be a comfort.

To all of Jean's family; Jean was an angel on earth. A fine example of how a truly good person should live their life. She touched our hearts through her courageous and selfless battle with cancer, her fine sense of humor, positive attitude, and gentle kindness. On Wellington St., I remember Jean sitting on the front veranda wth a big smile for everyone that passed by, and in later years, the great love that she had for her family. We feel so lucky to have known her and will truly miss her. Our love goes out to Patrick, her children, and all the rest of the Lundrigan and Lewis families.
