Oxner (Donnelly), Joan Marie- of Halifax, passed away August 20th, 2010 at Halifax Infirmary, V.G. Site. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Vincent A. Donnelly and Hattie B. Fogarty. Joan retired from the Federal Civil Service after 40 years of service at CFB, Halifax. She is survived by companion, Gerald Steffen; daughter, Dr. Pamela Yates, Ottawa; sisters, Patricia Weeden (Ernest) and Ann Collier (David); many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her husband, Gerald Oxner; sister, Theresa Carlton. No visitation by request.Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, August 25th at 11a.m. from St. Margaret’s of Bourgeous,Timberlea.Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville.
