Clem is lovingly remembered by his wife, Barb (née Colburn), and their three children—Matthieu, Patrick, and Danielle. He was a devoted husband, a proud and caring father, and a beloved companion to all the furry members of the family.
He is survived by his brother Michel and sister-in-law Diane; his sister Marie-Anne and brother-in-law Kevin; his sister Christine; and nieces Gabrielle and Erin. Clem is predeceased by his parents, Charles and Madeleine, and now joins them in eternal rest.
A 1977 graduate of the Royal Military College with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Clem quickly rose to leadership roles in his career. He was admired by colleagues for his intelligence, his easy laughter, and his gift for fostering strong, collaborative teams.
Outside of work, Clem embraced life’s simple joys. He found peace in nature, took great pride in his stamp collection, and was always ready with the right answer at Pub Quiz—usually while enjoying a pint with friends. Those who knew him remember Clem as a true gentleman: kind, patient, thoughtful, loyal, and full of good humor.
In his final days, Clem and his family were deeply supported by the compassionate care of Halifax Hospice. Their kindness brought comfort and peace during a difficult time. In keeping with Clem’s wishes, those who feel inclined may make a donation to Halifax Hospice in his memory.
He will be dearly missed and forever cherished.
The family will receive visitors 4-7 pm Thursday, August 7, 2025, in the J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
