

She was the daughter of Helen LeBlanc (Covey) and the late Alfred LeBlanc. Karen was a loving mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. Karen was a hard worker who wore many hats which included, but not limited to, her travel business KL Travel, an usher at the Halifax Metro Centre, security with Shadow Security, and manager of Subway locations on Titus Avenue and in the Metro Centre.
Karen’s true passion was her children and travelling the world, especially the Caribbean. Karen is survived by her two children, Jordan Alexander and Jessica Jane, whom she loved unconditionally; mother, Helen; sister, Rosemary (Mark Gulliver); brothers, Alfred “Fred” and John; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Karen was predeceased by her father and sister, Jane. There will be no visitation or funeral services as requested by Karen. Cremation has taken place and her ashes will be taken to Jamaica at a later date. A celebration of her life will be held in the near future. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
The family would like to thank the palliative care doctors and nurses from 5A at the VG Site for their care, comfort, and kindness to Karen during her final days. To all her nearest and dearest friends who were there by her side, our deepest thanks for your love and support.
