ELIAS, Mary Pauletta Lauren, - 60, Halifax, NS, passed away peacefully October 29, 2010 in the Palliative Care Unit, VG site, QEII, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. Born April 19, 1950 in Campbellton NB, Lauren was the daughter of the late Gemill and Busme Anna (Paul) Elias. Lauren was an artist and animal lover who enjoyed long hikes with her dogs. Lauren was a dedicated and generous friend who will be missed by many. She is survived by daughter Jaclyn Monaghan and son John Monaghan both of Halifax; as well as several nephews and cousins. She will be missed by her dogs, Caesar and Zeebo. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. Snow's funeral home, 339 Lacewood drive, where a memorial service will be held November 27th from 2 – 4pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA or the Canadian Cancer Society.
