

Comstock, Lawrence N. – 74, of Halifax, passed away December 4, 2010 at the Q.E.II – Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax he was the son of the late John Edward and Mary Agnes Comstock. He was employed with Westinghouse Canada for 33 years prior to his retirement in 1994. He then enjoyed a brief second career with CIBC. Lawrence was a minister of the word at St. Pius X Parish and he enjoyed reading, cribbage and crossword puzzles. His Sundays were often spent fishing, taking long drives, sightseeing or enjoying picnics with the family. He cherished memories of the many family vacations on P.E.I. Lawrence is survived by his step-daughters Allana (Greg) Grant, Sackville, Keliann Adams (David Olson), Armdale; son, Jason (Helene), Timberlea; sisters Marjorie (Reno), Halifax, Marie (Boyd), Halifax, Pauline, Bedford, Debra (Jared) USA, Gloria, Tantallon, Brenda (Jeff) Bedford, Christine (Glen) Cornerbrook; brothers Ron, Halifax, John, Halifax, Andy, Sackville, Pat (Sharon) Sackville, Phillip (Holly) Alberta; grandchildren Joshua Grant, Cristian and Emma Comstock. He was predeceased by his wife Joyce, granddaughter Laura and brother Don. Visitation will be held on Thursday, Dec, 9, 2-4 and 7-9 at Snows Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood \Dr., Halifax. Funeral service will be held Friday, December 10 at 10 a.m. at St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, 6903 Mumford Rd., Halifax, Father Kenneth Robertson officiating. Cremation has taken place.
